I was just checking out other pictures of him last night, other than the one on PDB. Good looking dog.

ohh.. right, I knew David was somewhere in one of your dogs. It's probably the name that got stuck with me.

Yes David was a good dog but he was bred with mixed lines all the time. If you read about the offspring on the PDB these are all the mixed pups most with west and american show lines.

Well correct me if I'm wrong but that's what they did with most DDR dogs in the States. Particularly when dogs ended up in the hands of breeders who bred for color and "nice head".

Yes they all wanted to improve the dogs they had. Most people any where did this and what they never thought of was
what happens when we run out of these dogs to give heavy bone bigger heads and better pigment. This is still not given much thought today

To improve the dogs as far as what? Hehe.. while I think about it, you still get some heavy bone and pigment but the temperament is as good as that os any show dog. That's just my view.. Why is it that so many now look just for the outside of the dog but ignore the inside (brains).....

Masiv Zorro, in poze pare ceva mai atletic.

He was a great dog for sure, he didn't score high in the DDR sieger but still was preferred by many for breeding and that must have been for good reasons. I like that although considered to have been crazy by some (his eyes turning red when agitated and such) in the clip you can see how attached he is to that girl. Now, I know that I love the DDR type but I actually like what I see - a pretty decent sized dog, attached to its owner and suspicious towards the stranger (camera guy).. in short, the typical DDR dog. Those looking to breed for looks may have not wanted him due to the lack of the mask (which is an element in the blood) and so less type or expression but what I wanted to underline was, if those interested in temperament bred to him, they must have had good reasons to.

Yes, I know there have been dialogs on Zorro's balance. The dog looks better in pictures than in this video and also you can see he lacks the mask which you don't always spot out in pictures. Still, that shouldn't stop one from breeding to the dog.
Those who bred for looks mainly, turned the original dog - who was not that good looking if we're honest - into a better looking dog, to the point where the dog now looks the way it does - not that good looking at all.

(respectiv Troll si etc, in randul cainilor vestici).

In filmulet Zorro era batran deja.
