To be honest, I actually favor this type of dog. "dynamite" type. If you work carefully with such a dog you will be able to do almost anything. Actually that's the way a true working dog should be. Great drives.

Was curious on the the last few posts, what you guys said.

Bogdan has described in more details his breeding female Sota Jipo me, she seems to be full of drive. If you go back you will notice I've translated some of the posts, I'll try and translate most of them. Hope it'll help  ;)

Inseamna ca Waldo are cui semana. 1ha  :D

This means Waldo has someone to resemble. In my own yard is big time fun when there's a bird around. 1ha  :D

Bobo,
eu nu l-as lasa pe Waldo la liber cand iti intra un 'strain' in curte, ci l-as tine in tarc... Daca era in afara curtii era alta treaba... parerea mea..  ;)  As vrea ca animalul meu (mai ales ca e in formare, sa ia in serios aspectul strainului care intra in curte; daca e liber deja se creaza spatiul pt prietenie.

Bobo,
I wouldn't let Waldo free in the yard when a stranger walks in, I would rather keep him in the kennel... If we're talking about contact with the stranger outside the yard it's a different matter... just my opinion..
;)   I would want my dog to take seriously the "intrusion" of a stranger on my property; if the (young) dog is free to roam on the property at that time, there's a space for friendship with the stranger in development.

Da.

Thanks for the translation Dani, appreciate that..
With a female like Sota , i believe that she was socialized and trained.. And yet sounds like shes a crazy fired up bitch dominant and all....
If she had not been socialized and trained very little, what kind of bitch would she be to own ?

Sota mounts most dogs in her path and "humps" them!
I am actually looking to overfeed her so she gets tired quicker.
I noticed when she is tired it's easier to "connect" with her.

What kind of stud dog is best suited to Sota, with her having this character.. ?
I would think a male of higher defense drive, as she has plenty of prey to contribute...

I will bred Sota only with male who can pass confidence to his pups. Sota have also defensive reaction.

Al meu n-are treaba cu strainii cand suntem pe-afara, mai latra la caini dar nu la toti...in schimb daca mergem in vizita la niste prieteni care au curte, imediat isi ia rolul in primire si latra la oricine le deschide poarta. Desi nu e casa lui acolo. :?

When socialising a young pup with the streets/people, and you notice dramatic confidence, would it be a better to minimise daytime socialisation.. And focus on evening/night walks where it's dark/qiute, this i feel can give some indication of character type...I mean wouldn't suspicion behaviour most likely occur after 11 PM in the night ? Just curious what you guys think...

Have been socializing Casso and have noticed that he's lost some of that suspicion towards strangers.. Is there such a thing as over socialisng, or is it a case that he's more confident and not threatened ? Not sure how to take it :?

After reading the article John had posted, in where it mentions that the dog must know your the Super Alpha, and must know only one person who trains, feeds and socializes etc.. So when is the right time to introduce family members to the young pup, and would too much contact by others have a negative affect on the crucial early stages of upbringing..

I am sharing my point of view ...

I am fine with my young pup (below one year old) playing and get contact with my family / team member as long as both parties know how to respect each other.  I found this such of "contact" are good in building up their socialization's needs!

The one so-called his trainer MUST play fair in every exercise in-order for the said pup to have confident toward!

Bravo!
