Do you think its better if you keep them separate, so Athos can be more independent and have his own character without the possibility of negative effects ?

Dogs are pack animals. If you deprive them of contact with other pack members, they'll develop an unbalanced character. Some while ago, trainers would train young dogs using an adult "mentor", a model which puppies would copy with great pleasure. In fact, the best "trainer" for a young dog is not a human being, it is an adult dog. So I think it is a good idea to raise a puppy around an adult, of course, as long as that adult is what you want it to be.

I believe that if the owner(alpha)pack leader is present than we can control what's going on beteween young and old. Otherwise the young dog can possibly be affected mentally and even physically also through the growing phase(hips/elbows).
I like the idea of a young dog whitnessing training sessions in the early stages..

are o atitudine foarte serioasa, este un caine cu instincte foarte bune, oamenii care intrau inainte in curte in prezenta lui Steve , acum cu Athos nu mai au nici o sansa, stau si striga la poarta, si pe strada reactioneaza foarte dur , are caracterul pe care mi l-am dorit la un caine de paza, o sa-mi pun mare baza in el
