Dati-mi voie sa va prezint motivul pt care m-am indragostit de rasa Ciobanesc German: Ben.
Mi-ar lua mult timp sa vi-l descriu pe Ben, in general sau in anumite situatii, dar ma voi rezuma la a spune ca 1000 de caini exceptionali de-as avea, nici unul nu poate umple golul lasat de Ben in urma cu cativa ani.

ah,minunatul Ben - grozav caine,un adevarat Cg!mare pacat ca s-a dus!

Ben la 8 ani, in curtea societatii pe care a pazit-o de-alungul unor ani buni de zile, daca nu ma insel, 7. Asta era una din activitatile lui preferate, joaca cu aportul, aici cu unul din angajatii firmei. In puteti vedea in fundal si pe unul din cei "bagati" de Ben in spital, cel imbracat in albastru cu manusi de lucru pe maini. Spuneam intr-o postare pe-aici prin forum despre cel pe care l-a muscat Ben dar care intr-un final a juns "best friend" cu Ben pt ca mi-am facut timp sa merg si sa-i invat sa se imprieteneasca. Filmarea asta ar fi cel mai bun argument al meu in privinta echilibrului lui Ben, el fiind un caine f dur dar fara a se afla in extrema agresivitatii. Unul din prietenii nostri cu care mai colaboram in sesiunile de dresaj (atentator) mi-a adus aminte cum a vazut un atac oprit de la distanta "ca la carte", el la vremea respectiva (1995) fiind un pusti pasionat de caini utilitari si ne urmarea de la distanta. Va rog retineti ca eu nu aveam experienta in domeniul dresajului iar daca Ben a oprit atacul la cativa cm de om, la comanda mea, asta s-a datorat unei genetici super si a combinatiei de putina experienta cu f multa pasiune.

Ben at 8 years old, fetching the ball in the yard belonging to the company he has guarded for a few years, 7 if I am not mistaking. In the background you can also see one of those men Ben "sent" to hospital, it's the man with blue outfit and some working gloves on. The man teased Ben when the dog was first brought to the company, not knowing Ben would asociate his presence with disconfort. So when he first saw the chance he went for the man. But I spent some time with both of them after the event (the man was hospitalized for 2 weeks) and they became anything close to "closest friends" and this footage proves the balanced nerves of Ben, as he was a very tough dog but not to one extreme or another. Also I was reminded by a friend who we work with (he's the agitator in our videos) of one time he saw Ben charging at someone and from the distance I stopped the attack and on comand Ben returned to me. Please note at the time I did not have much experience with dog training, but I was putting a lot of passion in what I was doing and also, if I was able to stop the attack just centimeters away from the target it was because of good genetics.

Super filmuletul si super Ben!!! L-am urmarit cu sufletul la gura! Asa ma joc si eu cu Tara, dar zaluda mea "innebuneste" ca nu o arunc odata si incearca sa o prinda cu gura de sub piciorul meu.

Multam fain pt comentariu Mai aveam o inregistrare facuta la mare cu Ben intrand in apa dupa aport dar spre dezamagirea mea uriasa nu o mai gasesc (o caseta vhs ca la vremea respectiva nu exista conceptul de DV daca nu ma insel).

Am fost acasa la parinti si am scotocit printr-o cutie unde am pastrat coralul lui Ben si niste fotografii..

Cam asa arata Ben, nu tu supra-angulatie, etc...



Ben si Uzi (si surioara mea) pe holul companiei unde-au "lucrat". Din nou, subliniez ca desi un caine f dur, era bomboana cu cei din familie sau in general, cei apropiati familiei, pe care-i vedea realtiv des.

Da, sunt mortali in ipostazele de genul. Iau mingea sau alta jucarie si o ascund la spate, moment in care Tara se pune in fata mea si incepe sa latre pana ii inapoiez obiectul.

Also are Ben and Uzi of similar lines ?

Imagini clasice frumoase cu Ben, de asemenea se pot vedea trasaturile pt lucru, fizice si psihice..
Nu cred ca ai mentionat ceva progenituri din Ben.
Ben si Uzi vin din aceeasi linie?

yes there was a litter of pups out of Ben, I had one male pup his name was Justice (named by the new owner) but got sold eventually to a policeman who I thought was a good man, he had a few GSD's. To put it shortly, next time that guy asks for a pup from me, I'll have a different answer for him.
no, Uzi was not related to Ben whatsoever, I got Ben from a Police unit just outside town back in 1993 (he was only 5 weeks old), Uzi came from some army dogs up north in the country. Different texture, bigger but a little bit softer type of dog. Ben was very, very sharp.
There is a female in a village close to Constanta, she is a grandaughter of Ben but it would be quite hard to find her. I was told she is "insane", she guards the yard like it's the end of the world. Maybe one day i will try and find her.
Also Nicu (Dux) trained a dog that was related to Ben, not a big male but very hard guard dog. Nicu has a few storries to tell about that dog. When I was performing my national service I had the chance tu guard a big property (with other soldiers as well) and guess what, the dog i just told you of was assigned to guard that property and I was to handle it. Like I said, a medium-sized dog, but man he was a giant on the inside.... I know I have a clip of him somewhere, I will try and find it and if I do I will post it.

The whole neighborhood knew when Justice was coming out to play as he had tons of drive and was very loud in his own way.

Pe scurt - Ben si Uzi nu au fost inruditi, ba chiar erau caini de texturi diferite. Ben a scos un cuib de catei din care eu l-am luat pe Justice (drept de monta) care intr-un final a ajuns pe mana unui politist pe care l-am crezut om de incredere pt ca mai avea caini.. dar m-am inselat in privinta lui. Justice era un catel foarte energic. Mai este Nero, care este fiu din fratele lui Ben, un caine care nu impresioneaza prin aspect dar care e un adevarat gigant in interior. Stiu ca am o inregistrare cu el pe undeva, o voi posta daca o gasesc.

OK I found it, here is Nero (related to Ben) when Nicu had him for a while in training.
You can't actually see much in this video but you can "read" the dog's attitude I'm sure.

OK am gasit inregistrarea, iata-l pe Nero (ruda cu Ben) cand l-a avut Nicu (Dux) la lucru.
Nu e cine stie ce actiune de vazut in clip, dar se poate "citi" atitudinea cainelui, sunt sigur.

Nero is very sharp and can see that he wants to bite and doesnt want to waste energy on barking.. Am sure there is a few of these dogs still around, just that we wouldnt know abou it, like the female whos somewhere in the villages..

exactly, one day you go for a walk in some village in some part of the country and in the middle of nowhere, in somebody's backyard you get to see a magnificent GSD.. no papers or anything but the dog may be pure gold in terms of genetics... it's a very unfortunate situation..

exact, intr-o zi iesi la o plimbare intr-un sat undeva prin tara si la un momentdat, in curtea cuiva, vezi un exemplar super de CG... fara documente sau altele cerute de cluburi, dar cainele fiind cine stie ce potential genetic de aur... este o situatie trista...
