Been waiting to see some footage of Hun behind the gates, and i like what i see and am sure John enjoyed it also.
But as you said he still is very young and needs to mature another half year or so.
Shame that Briska interrupted Hun in this aggitation session, but other than that he showed very good body language and had a clear head, when approached up close..
Like the pics of them both in the European snow you guys got at the moment..

that's good observation on your part, Reg. Yes it's definitely early to start some serious work with Hun as he ain't ripe enough yet but as you noted, he's got the right potential.. which I will gladly monitor in the coming months.. I assure you, you will see some fine footage of this pup, he has loads of fight in him waiting to mature and come out.
I made a clear note of John's statement when he said to me the DDR blood matures slowly and I will patiently wait to see what Hun brings to the table.

I believe you are patient enough to wait and let Hun grow, too have a strong solid confident foundation to work with.
Do you think it's a better idea to have Hun separate from Briska, to build individual confidence ??
Like to know what Santos / Dux or other forum members, would think of what i am suggesting in regards to having dogs separate, especially when they are worked in a aggitation session..

The "agitator" in the video is dux, he really liked Hun's attitude, hit him in the face with the newspaper Hun just wanted to fight back all the way, did not back off for one moment.. you will see better footage in the coming months. As I was saying I didn't plan this well enough as I should have separated them before deciding to have them agitated, it was a last minute idea to agitate them and get it on video, to see what they respond like.
I will surely post videos when I start working them properly, individually. What's sure is that Hun is very young still and it would be wrong to rush into guard elements right now, he is simply too raw. I can see it in his eyes, he is not sure what's going on until he is provoked and he responds accordingly, but I want him to get to the point or age where he wants to bring the fight to the agitator before actually being provoked.

I agree to what your saying that it's more of a confidence builder, you are focusing on at the moment..
It's better to have a dog with a clear head, especially when the push turns into a fight...!

Precisely! what's the point in building, if the foundation is not clear and solid, to start with..
Having done this short agitation session this morning only reminds me I need to have patience to see this through correctly. I guess the tendency nowadays is to start things sooner so one can see the true potential of the pup / dog. But when you rush into things you open the door to un-repairable mistakes I think.

Dar in virtutea concurentei, unii pasionati ai lucrului accepta vantul oficial, cum spuneam. Ata ete, nu-i problema, asta ne e tzara.

It's way harder to build things up generally speaking, and on the other hand so easy to destroy making it irreversible..
At the end of the day i feel that if a dog has it in them naturally, they wouldn't need too may sessions at all..
Whether it's for family/property protection or Security patrols..
LESS IS MORE...!!!
