Very fine in the muzzle and average head size, very popular dog in those days..
Big bucks payed for him in those days apparently $10,000 back in the late 1940's after the World War..
DDR dogs such as Ex v Riedstern were line bred on Rolf vom Osnarbrucker Land, who is out of Lex.

well people still pay big money for dogs that are really crappy, I know a Romanian show line GS dogs breeder who sold a show line crappy dog for $10000 a few years ago (maybe 2002). We're talking about a show GSD who produced pups with heads that resembled those of ducks, just narrow heads. Not to mention their temperament was crappy.
