voi posta un clip cu bulldog american dintr-o inregistrare mai lunga primita in iarna lui 2004, dar mai intai uitati-va ce antrenamente / competitii se faceau acum cativa ani. sunt convins ca se mai fac dar nu se posteaza in locuri publice.

inainte sa spuneti ca sunt totusi prea dure antrenamentele (o parte din ele), asa ceva faceam nu numai eu cu Ben, ci majoritatea celor din grupul de dresaj din care faceam parte.

This is the type of training that was performed a few years back. you don't get to see more footage like that nowadays, not necesarily because they don't go for this type of training anymore, but other reasons. one of the dogs featured in the video is none other than the great, awesome Primo, a mighty beautiful and powerful Canarian Mastiff.

Just to add, that is the same type of training / exercises Ben was undergoing

nota: spre deosebire de competitiile din ziua de azi, unde daca animalul rateaza mansonul la primul atac, este depunctat, sau daca nu are un atac spectaculos nu primeste cine stie ce ovatii, in competitiile PSA cum vedeti in clip, se puncteaza vointa cainelui, dorinta de lupta, rezistenta la presiune.

note: unlike modern competitons / sports, where if the dog misses the sleeve on first bite attempt looses points, or is not cheered much for if the long bite doesn't look very spectacular, in PSA trials such as the one in the video, it is the will of the dog to fight, plus its resistance to pressure, that receive points.

clipul de care spuneam, cu Bulldog American. E foarte faina filmarea intreaga, oamenii s-au adunat acolo sa-si lucreze cainii, sa manance bine si sa rada si mai bine, mai pe scurt sa petreaca un timp bun impreuna.. si sper si eu la asa ceva aici la Constanta, cu voi, daca toate merg bine in ce ne priveste..

There are great examples of all these alternate breeds, and some real terrible examples, also, both in health and nerves/temperment.


 The differences in my Bandogs or bulldogs and great working GSDS (or other great herders)

advantages of great GSDs
1.  GSD is not so handler compliant/sensitive, which makes training MUCH easier
2.  GSD has less bite inhibition
3.  GSD more intelligent (IMO)

advantages of a great American Bulldog, Boerboel, Bandog...I consider most Presa a bandog

1.   Way more pain resistant
2.   Handler compliant
3.   Harder to stop by bad guy    Notice that the handler compliance issue can either be an advantage or disadvantage.  It's an advantage in that they won't ever bite their handler like a hard herder can for an unfair correction.  It also makes it harder or at least different to train.

Exista exemplare bune ale acestor rase alternative, precum si exemplare foarte slabe, atat in privinta sanatatii cat si a temperamentului.

Diferente intre Bandogii sau Bulldogii mei si CG de lucru, buni (sau alti caini Ciobanesti)

advantajele CG-ilor buni
1. CG-ul nu e atat de sensibil in lucrul cu handlerul, ceea ce face dresajul MULT mai usor
2.  GSD has less bite inhibition  2. CG-ul prezinta mai putina inhibare in muscare
3.  CG-ul e mai inteligent (in opinia mea)

Avantajele oferite de Bulldog American, Boerboel, Bandog... personal consider Presa canario tot un bandog

1 Mult mai rezistent la durere
2. Sensibil in lucrul cu handlerul
3. mai greu de oprit de un infractor   De notat ca sensibilitatea in munca cu handlerul poate fi un avantaj sau un dezavantaj. este un avantaj in sensul ca nu-si va musca handlerul in urma unei corectii mai dure, asa cum o poate face un ciobanesc. Dar de asemenea asta face dresajul mai geu sau cel putin diferit.

Dutch Shepherd / Ciobanescul Olandez - cred ca ar fi a 2a alegere, in ce ma priveste, daca ar iesi din peisaj CG-ul

Dutchies - would probably make my second choice at the moment, if the GSD would be out of the picture

Si mie imi plac ca si caine utilitar, sunt putini c-am subtirei pe fizic ,dar sunt caini foarte buni.Si aici trebuie sa cauti mult ca sa gasesti ce vrei.

My dog Riker is out of the biggest and most dominating Dutch Shepherd I've ever seen.  We are line breeding on that dog, both here and in Costa  Rica.   I have a female coming out of a Dutch breeding of Riker's sister and a Dingo (well known DS) son.

This is Bohdy, a Dutch Shepherd police dog in Bob's training group.  Bohdy is the other Dutch Shepherd (aside from Dingo) we are using as outcrosses in the Riker dog program.  Bohdy will go to our 3/4 American Bulldog x 1/4 Neapolitan mastiff bandog females when they get here, and possibly to Boo, my female AB.  

Dutch Shepherds are very high on my list of great dogs.
