Anyway, clipul :)

Just shortly testing Briska; she does not display the "madness" India (for example) displayed at a young age, however she is very suspicious towards strangers and really not looking to make new friends, especially when on her territory. According to what some that are more experienced than me in the DDR blood say, she will mature slower, so I am watching her step by step.

I personally like her stable suspicious nature, she would be great for a solid hard defensive male.. ;)
As we have heard that DDR lines take longer to mature, what age approx would we say this maturity happens ?
Also would you say its better to start her on lead ? As this will keep her confidence higher..

That's exactly what I considered, based on my latest observations on her...  If "by accident" the bloodline of that potential male matches superbly hers.. the more fun in the mix, then.

Well I guess this would be my first time to find out for myself.

Yes as I was watching her reaction when my friend came inside the yard, I thought it would have been a good idea for me to be in the kennel with her, to boost her confidence. So yeah... I think you've been reading my mind lately...

SG Lareck von den Grauen von Monstab would be nice for, as this would be then linebred on Aaron von Poppitz Don Clausberg..
But just wondering what the character on these good looking dogs is  :undecided:

Not really my choice if I'm honest... I have a little problem with the maternal side of Lareck.

this is purely to do with my preferences, but I am after some Held lines, Don and maybe some Kiebitzmoor.. I am still learning the DDR blood. Needless to say not all DDR dogs are actually good, in fact I recon it's hard to find a really good one.

Theres no doubt that Held would be on your list, I believe Don produces more size in his progeny and not to sure if he was as hard as others such as Titus.. In regards to size, IMO believe that medium size and build would be more of a versatile working dog..
Size looks good and all, but also has the negative points, when we're talking Hips/ elbows..Especially when there tall dogs and heavy..

I too got a feeling Don was actually not that hard but still, there must be a reason why the East Germans bred the c... out of him, it could be because they were simply looking for the type of dog produced..  (?)  I know for sure he produced some good looking dogs with powerful head.

I totally agree!

ok, some short footage and some progress monitoring. towards the end shot from a different, more complicated angle from which I couldn't get a very "clear shot". She has done a great job today, when I was out on the street, in front of my house and a worker kept moving some tools in the yard, she went "ballistic", with a confident bark, I am looking forward to watch her potential come to fruition. I love the suspicion towards strangers in her behavior / attitude; I will most definitely use her (in the long run) to "build" the type of my preference.
