I wouldn't Tessa and his dogs and am sure for those who visit wont be dissapointed in what they see and hear..
Would of came for a beer, if i was nearby to see some 'real dogs'..1

Scoate-i afara pe teren neutru, fara sa aiba contact vizual cu stapanii, si atunci incearca o tentativa de atac asupra lor. Separat evident... As vrea sa-i vad reactia mai ales a lui Remus, ca pe Figo l-am mai vazut in actiune...

P.S. Si inca ceva, am uitat sa amintesc. Femele cand prezentati la o proba de curaj adevarata? Tinta mea viitoare fiind o femela...

Take them out on new ground, with no visual contact with the owner and only then attempt to challenge them. Of course, separately.. I am especially interested in seeing Remus' reaction, as I have already seen Figo in action...

Would it be better to condition(maturity) a dog for this test, so he has confidence and minimise a negative outcome.
Or better throw him in the deep end, to get a true indication of what he truly is all about??
No masking and covering the 'real character'..!

Nu e oare indicat sa conditionezi un caine pt un astfel de test, pt a-i da ceva curaj si a evita un rezultat negativ?
Sau trebuie impins in inima testului pt a i se vedea adevaratul potential?
Fara mascarea sau acoperirea adevaratului caracter..!

Good point! I was thinking exactly about that!
I don't think it's fair to the dog to so-called "test" him just like that, without undergoing any type of encouraging / motivating moments. The dog has the potential from birth but needs some stimulating as it develops into an adult dog. Then, yes, there are exceptional dogs every now and again (and very rare these days) where absolutely no human help is needed, the dog is born a true, tough warrior and will be just fine on its own.
But take Briska for example, yes I will have her by herself with me out on sight and have somebody test her and watching her reaction from the distance I will know what to do - and/or, what colors she has. IF I want to test for real a dog with no help on my part before undergoing the said test, I do that with an ADULT dog, not a young one! Many "test" young dogs as if they were adult dogs and they wreck a potentially very good dog.. some of these people are active trainers.
Figo, from what I am told, has proven to be fine on his own, owner away from him.

Nu cred ca e un asa-numit "test" corect fatza de caine, fara a avea ceva parte de sesiuni de incurajare in prealabil. Cainele se naste cu potentialul respectiv dar care trebuie incurajat pe masura ce creste. Apoi, da, sunt cazuri exceptionale (si din ce in ce mai rare in zilele noastre) cand cainele se naste un adevarat luptator si interventia omului nu e necesara deloc.
Ma gandesc la Briska de exemplu, o voi lasa undeva legata la punct fix si cineva o va provoca iar functie de reactia ei voi sti ce am de facut si ce potential are. DACA vreau sa testez un caine in maniera asta fara sa ajut/intervin eu in vreun fel, o fac cand e deja MATUR! Multi testeaza un caine tanar ca pe unul adult.. ceea ce eu consider o greseala, una foarte mare in cazul anumitor caini cu potential care este aruncat la gunoi in urma "testului" facut de dresor (dresorul respectiv mai bine se face bucatar).
Figo, din ce mi s-a spus, se descurca bine cand e singur.

nu e la Tessa si nu stiu cat anume il vom putea testa / filma. Manson o sa facem / filmam dar mai mult.. voi vedea la fatza locului.

Voiam de fapt sa intreb daca e al canisei Zimbris cainele pentru ca parea sa reiasa din spusele tale ca nu, dar din moment ce credeam initial ca e la @tessa, am zis ca n-are rost.

Ok, multumesc de clarificare. Zic daca ajung prin Moinesti sa lovesc mai multi iepuri.

Prin testul cu legatul cainelui la tarus in teren neutru nu putem vedea decat reactia de autoaparare a cainelui cu atac de confruntare sau atac din teama de a nu te apropia de el. Aptitudinile de paza se vad la locul in care cainele face paza, unde si-a delimitat un teritoriu al sau.

oricum nu poti analiza in baza unui singur test..  pt mine personal, un test bun este lasarea cainelui singur, pe teritoriul lui si sa vina atacatorul... rezultatul ar vorbi de la sine.

still, Nicu just told me yesterday of a recent situation of a dog doing great at a test like this but then fkeeing at the courage/sleeve test.. what do you make of that..?
I believe one single test is not enough to show the colors of a dog, that's the point I'm trying to make. And in more recent years it's actually harder and harder to pass all tests (be it that we're talking about unofficial tests)
