Hello workingdog people,
Yes that's wright Dani, homework is very important for all phase's of aggitation work.
As i have said many times the past and i will say it again,Casso just like his predecessor before him is a much more
civil dog than a prey dog and most would have to agree that in a real life situation the civil dog would be a much better deterant
than the prey dog.

I all so feel that if push came to shove the civil dog would be the one i would like to have at the end of my lead as i feel he
would not need any form of stimulus to actually bite someone.

Interms of what the reaction of the dog may after the bite will very on aech individual dog e.g fight drive or combative instinct but
certainly we have found in the past that dog's with high prey drive and low agression would not bight the agitator unless the dog was
stimulated in prey mode(no good for crowd control work).

That's some great news on Casso, Reg must be a lucky guy

I totally agree. I mean let's be serious, what do you need a prey/sport dog for in real life or, since when does reality count less than sport competition??

Oh, that's turning into history of the breed as we speak, I'm afraid.. I got footage of dogs who competed in the FCI WUSV and scored well but when agitated in real life (with no equipment whatsoever) their natural aggression response was nada, zero. Imagine yourself walking down the street and a punk coming to bit the crap out of you and as he approaches with visible violent intent the dog responds with nothing.
Once again, Casso sounds to be what Reg wanted and man, I so wish Onyx would be still around... I would hammer Reg to get protection work on video of the dog!

Sam i respect your views and opinions, as i know very true and well.. That you  have spent numerous and countless hours in training and analysing various bloodlines here in Australia.. And so true that the concentrated version (inbred) dogs of the past , are the 'real deal'....
They also have the prey but channel this naturally with the desire to bite with an 'aggressive passion'..!!!

Over all i'm pleased with Casso as he is a clear headed dog and reads the situation very well. Very little if any provocation is needed for a response.. And Onyx was also a non trained dog, therefore the helper would need to wear a helmet with the body suit, if he was off lead..
He would bite you where he would be given the opportunity, he's favourite spot to target was the whole body any part of....!!! I believe the footage on You Tube titled K9HAUS SECURITY displays his desire for the helper to challenge him and fight, with disregard for the equipment..

Fine response in that dog, he want to take the fight to the bloke, that's good.
