This is one I know of, and I also know of T.J. Enckhausen (sp?)...who was my male's grandsire.  I think SB produced a lot of police dogs like TJ that you don't hear a lot about, but he's known in police dog circles as one of the hardest dogs that anyone had ever seen.

Asta e unul din cei de care stiu eu si il mai stiu si pe T.J. Enckhausen bunicul cainelui meu. Cred ca SB a produs multi caini de politie cum e si TJ despre care nu auzi prea multe, dar care este cunoscut in cercurile de politie ca fiind unul din cei mai duri caini pe care l-au vazut.

Excellent build on this Male.
Have read on TJ and Pongo over the last few years, as Von Forell has some descedndants of Brawnson here.
And at one stage Pongo was going to be used here in Australia, dont know what happened there..

That cracks me up how they named that video clip "protection"....they are taking a natural protection dog and loading it up for a toy, training it to not do what it does naturally...or at least to limit it.

I don't get it, but then I'm not a sport guy.

Looking at those males, I think I need a larger, unrelated female, although I like everything about Brogan other than her size.  If Jim (as a large dog) bred to Iwa produced these smaller dogs, males included, I have a feeling that Cato x Brogan might not produce any dogs Cato's size, either.  Of course I could be totally wrong.   The police like a smaller, faster, dog.  But I want a bigger female because I like a larger dog, and want to produce that.  I need a big Czech or DDR female.

well... that is what they call "protection work" more often than not, in so called "modern / standard training". I watched today a number of videos online, featuring good dogs being trained for equipment.. breaks my heart.. I did comment on the video above, in the DDR section.
As far as cato and Brogan.. like you said, you never know.....

Roger it would be good if you find a female who is big and built, but more importantly i feel that her Sire should be big and strong type..
The maternal Grandsire of pups helps to add size from what i have noticed on the pedigree data base..
Not very common to have a taller leg dog to be thick and built, but rather slightly shorter(25 inch) and straight longer thick back..

If that works out to be the case, then Cato and Brogan should throw some size, because Brogan's sire, Jim, is a pretty big dog, and Cato is a large dog.  Of course the best structural thing about them is both have excellent hips...and even better than the structural concerns are they both act like I want a dog to act.  I'll be happy to get it done, I found out yesterday she's been keeping herself so clean that I didn't realize she was still bleeding a little bit, so she's just coming in good.  I was about to think she was going out, and in actuality I think she's just coming in.
GSDs are different than bulldogs, at least this one is.  She's making me crazy.  tazi

Thanks Thara!   Yea, Dani, I'm hoping that's the case.  I will know within the hour.  It would cost $500 to AI her.  I don't think I can do that, though if I think she's still in heat and he's just not getting the job done, at some point I will take  her to Drago.  That is the litter I"ve been thinking about for two years, so it's not going to kill me.
But I would love to have a Cato litter first.

well good luck "within the hour"!!!!! You always have Drago at your disposal, so yeah, Cato sounds to be more of an "urgent matter".
