Me & Djanggo
« on: June 06, 2010, 03:11:40 PM »
hi guys!

im new with this forum and would very glad to be part of this forum. zimbris is a good friend of mine whom i meet in other working dog forum. anyway, i just do hope i have something to share here as well about dog discussion and training. btw, sorry i dont understand your language and would best if i can write it down in english.

i am from philippines and i have a 19months old DDR male - Djanggo. he is already finished with his PD 1(protection dog 1). hopefully on august will be having his PD 2.

salut!

It will be good to have you around!
it is always good to learn from each other so we look forward to hearing your insight of stuff, training or anything to do with these dogs.

here in the Philippines only few who are into working gsd. most of them are into personal protection and sports training. most friend of mine who are into personal protection, they get their genes from jinopo out of Piko Bret Bett, Gero Blatenskeho Zamku, Atilla & Norbo. but somehow very frustrating. since i see many genetics faults out of those bloodline that been carried out to their progenies. most of them are having HD/elbow problem and cryptochid. i also noticed most of them lack of fight drive and poor aggression. which i think it is very essential for a protection dog. :(

while also those other people who are into sports, most of their genes came from Karthago, Yoschy and Ruhbachtal. very drivey and lack aggression. i noticed also most of them has some weak bones problems.  :(

that's why im looking forward to improve the gsd bloodline here in our place and bring back the real gsd those days.  ;)

I think that is pretty much the reality the breed is facing these days, unfortunately...
I guess you can come across some good west dogs, but it's a known thing that east dogs have better bone structure. Still, some of the best dogs out there are east / west mix.
