I think my favorite one (of the old ones) would be that of Held.. from the more recent ones is definitely Bodo Rosenzweig!

Cred ca cea care-mi place cel mai mult (din cainii 'vechi') este a lui Held, iar din cainii mai recenti, cea a lui Bodo.

Gazan was a beautiful, bi color male imported from East Germany in the early 1980's.
Gazan had very strong nerves and was extremely serious in the protection work. He was safe with children  and guests but also a very real dog that would protect his family without hesitation.

da.. mie imi plac mai toti cainii prezentati in pozele de mai sus.. greu de ales care imi place cel mai mult.. pt acum favoritul meu ramane Held Ritterberg

Ye there all pretty good examples of that DDR type, and i also put Held v Ritterberg on the top of the list when it comes to overall structure type..
Held in a sense gave me the fascination of old DDR dogs, and Casso has been the type i have visualised for the last decade or so..
He truly has that Held look about him... :D
