I've never seen a bad guy or a wild hog stop and read papers. lol    I am amost 51 years old and started in 1971 with really nice Dobermanns as a kid... my parents and I raised them.   Hardcore dogs.   I've had great dogs or were looking for them all my life.  All I care about is whether they are working dogs or not, although...I do LOVE the look of some of the dogs I've seen on here, that's for sure, it's like a time warp.  I saw German Shepherds like that, but not for years and years, and like getting struck by lightening, over the last few years I find that on top of my other project, I have an intense love of great German Shepherds.  I wish I didn't, my life would be so much easier. LOL

I know exactly what you mean!    well they are indeed some really fine dogs, arn't they.. I mean, just going back to Bodo.. man.. when I saw that dog I thought "I want that!!!" I've seen dogs like that back in the very early 90's and hey, they were some capable dogs too, climbing up big walls and things like that, very athletic, not as drivey (back then) but they definitely had the "are you talking to me" look on their face!

This 'little' girl in the video is a descendant of Bella, Bodo's sister. She was 9 mo old in this video, unfortunatelly she was killed by a snake when playing outdoors

Mneah ca am revenit la Bodo    catelusa din clipul asta e descendenta din Bella, sora de cuib a lui Bodo. Din pacate catelusa a murit muscata de un sarpe, era tanara si a vrut sa 'inspecteze' ce vede si...

She's gorgeous....drivey, too.   Yea, she's a tiny thing, wasn't she? LOL

We lost the best AB stud dog we ever had to a snake, although most of the time the dogs will  live through getting bit, pups, too.   In fact, usually it is the pups that get bit, the adults are wiser.   My German Shepherds live in the house at night and have not come across one yet in the day time, but they are not very old yet either.

Bella was a very strong female who passed this strength on to future generations,  when it came to that BLOCKY DDR look..
We as you guys know have here in Australia, very strong looking females from Stormfronts Brawnson/ and Bella daughter (Von Forell Aria), who really passed on strong heads/muzzles... A male Stud dog Raennik Bero who has Bella on his maternal side has recently been repeatedly been  used for his hardness..
Check out Raennik Dartangion who is 3-3 on Bella and in/linebred on many other dogs, something which is not to my liking with this combo..

That's interesting that you brought up Stormfront's Brawnson blood in Australia, I did not know he was known anywhere else abroad.   My male's sire is out of two half siblings sired by him.  I always figured that's where Drago got his civil attitude (his sire sure has it), but then I'm told the Mink lines from his dam's side (Lewis Malatesta, Jago Lindenhalle) might account for it, also.

it's funny you mention that name, I spent quite abit of time just reading about this dog last night, sounds like he was quite a real deal in terms of natural sharpness

My guess is John would know a thing or two...  ;)
I could do with "heavy set" as long as it doesn't interfere with movement...

Absolut superba femela! Nu-ti vine a crede ca e femela. Ce osatura, ce cap, ce fizic impresionant!

What a superb female! You wouldn't say it's actually a female. Such bone structure, such impressive physique!

Imi place cainele asta, cel putin in poza asta se remarca o prezenta super, o atitudine impunatoare.. (in opinia mea). Este nepot de Lord Gleisdreieck pe partea materna si are in sange pe partea tatalui niste caini super buni

I like this dog, I like the attitude it seems to reflect in the picture. He's a Lord grandson on mother side and got some 'serious' blood on father side
