That some of the training that should be done more often, i guess not enough of these kind of dogs around maybe..
Well in the case of Konan I would say his attitude is still a bit "young". Yeah, if I had a suit around I would work both Hun and Briska on it, that's for sure.
I am glad too, to see DDR dog owners stepping things up a little bit with videos like this, now is as good a time as ever! More DDR dogs out there are presented to be "good" just because of the big names in their blood and that concerns me. Been a while now having Hun and I can see with my own eyes some of the things John told me during the last years, about the typical DDR dog. Although not as crazy in drive (but still has it, just like Venus) he has plenty determination, I particularly saw that during the swimming days, I saw Hun growing from "oops, what's this" to "yeah, I want to do this" to the point where I would walk away to get home and he would stay behind turning back towards the say from time to time. Also Briska has a very independent nature. These are things I love to spot out as I watch them mature.
At first I thought they are not as "intense" as a west dog in their civil reaction but then I realized the dogs I called "intense" are more often than not choleric and hey.. big difference between the too when we look at things contextually.
Well I hope we will see more and more working videos of DDR dogs, otherwise they end up not being present online but just in static still images.. exactly like show dogs. Let's hope we'll see more DDR dogs in action, I really hope DDR breeders and owners keep the work up and that of course means not breeding for money but for quality, to start with!
Pai, in cazul lui Konan as spune ca reactia lui e totusi inca tanara.. Da, daca as avea si eu costum la indemana, i-as munci si eu pe Hun si Briska, fara discutie. Ma bucur si eu sa vad detinatori de caini DDR ca apasa putin pedala postand clipuri cu caini la lucru, acum e timpul mai mult ca oricand. Multi caini DDR sunt prezentati ca fiind caini buni doar datorita cainilor din spate (pedigree) si asta e ingrijorator. Au trecut cateva luni de cand il am pe Hun si am putut vedea cu ochii mei unele din lucrurile pe care John mi le-a spus de-alungul anilor, despre cainii DDR. Desi nu atat de incarcat cu drive ca un caine vestic (dar are destul, de la Venus) am vazut multa determinare in timpul zilelor la mare. A trecut rapid de la "hopa, ce e asta" la "da, vreau sa fac asta" pana la punctul in care eu plecam spre casa iar el ramanea in urma si din cand in cand mergand inapoi spre mare. Briska de asemenea are o fire foarte independenta. Astea sunt cateva din lucrurile pe care le-am notat monitorizand dezvoltarea lor.
Initial ma gandeam ca nu sunt la fel de intensi precum cainii vestici dar ulterior am tras concluzia ca, analizand lucrurile corect contextual, de multe ori intensitatea aia in lucrul de protectie se concretizeaza intr-un caine coleric si intre a fi coleric si a avea instinct de lupta e diferenta.
Sper sa mai vad clipuri cu caini DDR la lucru, fie ei si mai slabuti, altfel vor ajunge sa fie prezenti online doar in imagini statice.. excat precum cainii de show. Sa speram ca vom vedea ceva mai mult de-atat si crescatorii sa se gandeasca la calitatea sa devina prioritara fatza de bani.
