wow... that is one "tight" linebreeding! Haus Himpel dogs appear in the blood of many good dogs out there.. and when I say good dogs I actually mean tough dogs.

wow.. asta chiar arata a consangvinizare stransa!

I knew one or more dogs from these breedings went to the Czech Border kennel.

This is a Auntie put to a nephew (to make it less confusing). I also like the idea of the Uncle mated to niece.. This is done when i guess one is happy with the gene pool in the 2nd generation.. Ingo v Rudingen was i guess the type they were after...

I guess it takes quite abit o experience to go for such breedings, and even then, to some extent it's almost like the lottery

A challenge is good and bloodlines (inbreeding) can to a degree, decrease the gamble and give you winning results...
Sometimes breeders should of taken the gamble and used dogs who did not pass hip exam.. Whats your opionion on this guys ??

Well I guess some breeders did try that and who knows, maybe with good results in places.. but at the end of the day you are taking a risk when doing that..

Have at times thought about those"backyard" breeders in the East, before the wall came down.. Would of produced many great 'unkown' DDR dogs, who still could of produced, strong progeny, given the reputation of the DDR breed having low cases of Hip Displsia..... Only if the breeding standard, was not so strict then possibly many more DDR dogs would be around..

The East German Government utilized the peoples dogs for their breeding program also the same is true for
the Czech Government.  Just prior to the falling of the wall the public wanted to make money on their dogs the majority were sold off and the East Germans tried to make show dogs out of what they had. As history shows this failed so many ddr kennels bought into the west show dogs. When they East Germans were forced into
using the West German Registry (SV) some gave in some did not Like (Zwinger vom Kabuschsee) Dani you know, this is one that did not at that point they refused the SV rule. The SV wanted show dogs and the wanted to bury the East German legacy. And again history shows the SV was successful, the ddr dogs are nearly gone

SV-ul vroia caini de show si respectiv sa ingroape mostenirea cainilor Estici. In randuri repetate istoria a aratat ca SV-ul a resuti in mare masura, cainii DDR-isti sunt aproape pe cale de disparitie.

dar tot istoria se va razbuna.dupa cum vedeti cainele de show ,,made in s.v.'' a inceput sa fie din ce in ce mai criticat.,,slabiciunile'' acestui tip de caine, atat legate de sanatate cat si de caracter  il face din ce in ce sa nu mai fie preferat.daca dumnezeu ne ajuta vom putea reinvia acest tip de caine ddr.-ist.asa zisul caine de ,,linie veche''.putem face o echipa buna chiar si aici in Romania astfel incat sa revitalizam acest tip de caine.sunt convins ca si John ne va ajuta cu informatii si in primul rand cu material genetic.

...but history will get its revenge. as we can see the show dog "made in s.v" is being more and more criticized. The weaknesses of this type of dog, both as far as health and character, are causing the dog to lose popularity. If all goes well we will help bring back to life this DDR type of dog, the so-called "old type". We can try and make a good team here in Romania. I am convinced John can help with valuable info as well as some genetic pool material.

On the homepage you can see a picture of Ellie, who John said looks like Benny
