well he's huge, that's for sure! I spoke with one of his ex owners, sounds like he could be overly aggressive (not that i would personally have a problem with that  )

Yeah i remember reading on Boban who wasn't very good with the judges, bit too sharp i say.
He was popular on the Forum few years back and i personally got more hooked on DDR K9 history, when i first seen Boban as pup, up to the time, he was shipped out..

Dani that photo of Bero really is DDR Size and Bone.
Have some pics of Casso which resemble Bero.
Bero is on Casso Maternal Side 6 generations back. .
I know its a bit way back, but the size was there on young Casso..

..these pictures..?

Yago vom Eldorado   Born : 03. October 1992  SZ/1856920

I spoke to the women who owned Yago he was bred one time i do not think it was a full east breeding. Look at the type and usually dogs with this look have Don Rolandsteich in them Yago does not.

Don seems to always produce powerful heads on progenies. I read somewhere that Don has been used extensively in the DDR because they needed more pigment and bigger head in their dogs.

Se pare ca Don a produs cap puternic aproape intotdeauna. Citeam undeva ca Don a fost folosit mult in DDR pt a se obtine pigment mai bun si cap mai puternic, ceea ce se cauta la vremurile respective.

Well you can't blame people for wanting one after all the rash of tennis ball attacks have been going on.

Welcome old DDR line lovers! We got our first DDR dog back in 1988, before the Berlin Wall came down. At that time, all you could get was a "Breeding Enrolled" certificate from the AKC. The DDR dogs had to be registered in West Germany first. Ingo was one of Don Rolandsteich's first sons to come to the States. He was brought in by Mike Pinksten of Olympia Kennels. He was hugely recieved and leased by several breeders who used him in New England, before we bought him. He was a dependable, consistent sire of temperament, super hips, pigment and good, all around working abilty, as evidenced by his police and SAR offspring. We are now 3 generations into him.  Mike brought over some really nice DDR dogs, including his own Held Ritterberg son, V-Nathan v Blauen-Engl, Schh3, who plays an important part in our DDR lines.. Flex was also one of his imports that we bought, a Golf Ritterberg grandson.. Flex went to a Louisiana Police Dept. Here then is a few of our Ingo kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, plus our other DDR lines from Lord Gleisdreick, Held Ritterberg,  & Robby Glockeneck.
