the video was done just to show the dog's temperament at this age. Remus was taken out to different places and Tessa noticed some temperament elements that told him Remus has a strong temperament.
I started agitation sessions with Ben when he was about 5 months old (although he signaled great guarding behavior since he was 3 months old), he turned out to be one tough, hard dog. I guess I am just seconding Santos when he says you can start work earlier with some dogs.. nevertheless, I would not do that until the dog reaches 12 months.

Nu am inceput nici un tip de exercitiu cu cainele,am vrut sa va arat calitatile native ale unui caine tanar cu instincte bune la capitolul paza si protectie.Pana la un an cainii mei, nu pun gura pe atentator deoarece nu vreau sa le formez muscatura "din joaca". Eu vreau sa le formez muscatura de lupta(vezi cum musca doi caini care se lupta), deoarece cainele de paza si protectie trebuie sa lupte cu adversarul(infractorul,hotul,agresorul) Acest catel Remus are instincte de luptator.

I have not started any work with the dog, I just wanted to show you all a young dog's native qualities, that has good instincts as far as protection goes. My dogs do not touch the agitator until they reach 12 months, as I don't want them to "play" bite. I want them to have a "fight" bite (watch two dogs as they fight), because a guard dog must fight the oponent (thief, aggressor, etc). Remus has indeed good fighting instinct.

Would it be fair to say that if we DO or DONT do this form of test at a young age the dog will show it true colours at maturity...
I prefer if a dog shows early signs such as Grief at less than 12 months, especially with that type of bark (deep)
Have heard that DDR dogs mature late in regards to defensive behaviour, is this true or an excuse that the breeder has failed in producing sharper type dogs..

Ar fi corect sa spunem ca, indiferent ca practicam sau nu astfel de exercitii, un caine isi va arata adevarata culoare la maturitate....
Prefer sa cred ca un caine care da semne timpuri e tipul lui Greif care la mai putin de 12 luni avea in mod special acel latrat gros (profund)
Am auzit ca exemplarele DDR se maturizeaza mai lent in ce priveste comportmanetul defensiv, asta o fi adevarat sau o scuza pt crescator, ca nu a scos caini mai duri..

yes, I believe the dog always shows his true colors at maturity - that is certain!
As far as DDR dogs maturing slowly... well i have also heard they mature slower, but I can't comment that since I never actually bred DDR dogs (full blood). many of the Czech dogs obviously descend from DDR dogs and many of them are line bred on DDR dogs so I guess one should be able to monitor some DDR aspects, in Czech dogs (such as slow maturing..?).. it's just a thought..
Remus has loads of DDR blood.

da si eu sunt de acord ca un caine arata cu adevarat ce poate cand ajunge la maturitate - asta e sigur.
iar in privinta cainilor DDR care se spune ca se maturizeaza mai lent... si eu am auzit asta, dar nu pot comenta asupra afirmatiilor, pt ca nu am crescut niciodata caini cu sange DDR 100%. Multi caini cehesti descind din caini DDR sau sunt chiar consangvinizati pe caini DDR deci poate am putea spune ca putem nota anumite aspecte DDR in cateii cehesti (de ex maturizare lenta..?).. e doar o idee...
Si Remus are o gramada de sange DDR.
