Nando is a super looking dog out of Zorro.
I like his maternal grandsire Black v Babylon

He has VERY nice color and markings. Someone who's had and worked many DDR gsd's made a statement that Nando was the best DDR dog he's worked.
I want some Zorro, Held and Don blood in my backyard.. then I will be a happy man. 

Having Hun helps me understand better the nature of the DDR dogs. He's a bite machine yet a very nice character dog. These dogs have notable personality which I love. I'm sticking with DDR's, all the way. If anything, I may consider some CZ (with DDR in the back) but not go west.

Dani which particular progeny lines from the above mentioned dogs would you consider ?
And also what would be the difference if we add Czech dogs to the DDR mix, in comparrison to throwing some West lines in the pool ?

Actually I'm not really looking to throw west lines in. The difference - if it's good CZ lines.. I guess not that big difference, after all the "root" of the CZ would be still DDR.

I think that Bob Parchimerland is a very good option for Briska or Nala.
Zorro and Don are there plus the legend Lord.

No, not at all actually. The looks and the paternal grand-sire line is all I like about Bob.

WA 95: Gute Verfassung; Rücken nicht ganz fest, Brustverhältnisse ausgeglichen.
Medium sized, dazzling condition, typey and expressive, dark eye, correct ears. Well developed topline, good angulation, due to age depth the front- and lower chest. Temperament sound, hardness, courage and fighting instinct pronounced; does out.
WA 95: good condition; back not quite firm, chest proportions balanced.

I found out that Nando was 64cm and 34kg
I seen a few other surveys and all were under 65 height and below 39 kg.

Bernd  V Lierberg at 64 cm and 43 kg that in comparison to Jeff Flminsand 34 kg
That's 20+% in difference.
Even the circumferance/depth of chest there is notable differance.

Above medium sized, moderately strong, good expression, very excellent pigmentation, flat withers, firm topline, croup should be longer. John I noticed Duran Wiedegang is at 65.5 cm and 43 .5kg with a 82 cm chest circumference.
Duran is the impression I had of DDR type dog with bone and mass giving it weight.
Duran is even bigger than Don his Grandsire by a 5 kg..

I just measured my dog's chest circumference:

Hun - 82 cm

Briska - 74 cm

Nala - 78 cm

And whither:

Hun - (almost) 67 cm

Briska - 59 cm

Nala wouldn't stand still, I'll do it another time.
