I appreciate the work put into this dog. But in my own opinion things are not done well in this video.
In a fairly short time this dog bites the bite suit 10 times. I would say that's way too much considering the dog's age. if analyzed closely, the dog looses interest after the 3rd bite and he only uses half of his mouth. Young dogs have to undergo shorter sessions.  When the dogs starts loosing determination that's a good time to end the session.
This is how I would do things; in a first stage I would use only one agitator and would not do more than two bites. Once I see his attack is sound and aggressive, then I proceed to two agitators. But I would still go for only two bites. One bite for each agitator. Also I would go for only two sessions a week. The more frequent these sessions are the dog falls into routine and looses motivation.

I guess things depend in the end on the individual's goals.. if the goal (or one of them) is that the dog must bite more than one agitator, several times, then he will loose intensity in bites (or looses motivation) - except for the dogs with the genetics that would bring more out of the dog regardless of the training type.

Hey Dux,

I appreciated your kind comment and advice ... It is right for u to say that.
Just some in-sight information, we do once a week on bite work exercise with our dog and limited to 03 bites per session!
The video u have just view is basically the training of decoy work & some handling skill.
We have limited of time to learn from Martin and we went all out and to hope that we could "receive" as much as possible

You are right in saying that, Zimbris and I agreed with that!
Like my reply to Dux, I must first apologize to the video viewer that I should have at least high-lighting the training exercises rather than just simply post out the video  8-)

My first initial reaction to the video was that it did seem too long a workout for such a young dog..
But after reading Leo's post, i can understand he has little time with Martin to do some training, which we can understand..
I would agree with Dux and his approach in regards to training a young dog of such age, but as Dani mentioned there probally is no right or wrong way about it..
At the end of the day; genetics plays a major role..! I personally IMO feel that after 14 months the dog is stronger mentally, through socialisation and training of biting(re bites) many differant objects; in very short sessions (3-4 times) a week is my method.

The dog still want to bite at the end of this exercice, only the quality of the bite was not so good.
If you see less determination maybe try to do another job.
Determination has nothing to do with phisical condition.
I have seen dogs fighting to the end of their stamina and still not surender and wisky did not surender.

yes, strongly agree. But also it is very easy to spoil a dog's potential by applying training methods that do not really suit that individual potential.

I guess the level of determination or physical condition in this particular case could be defined in different individual ways by each one of us. Ona final note i would still say in my view a bit too much was required from the dog.

two decoy attack should not be done too often and should be done with dogs that have plenty determination other wise it is easy ti spoil the dog, especially young ones

It is good for discussion sake, again .. to each dog, there is always the different view and the level of understanding cannot be definite in any way unless there is a fine guideline ... I am not trying to "cover" what we do, we believe we have our set of "reading" dog reaction and we are quite comfortable in-pushing the limits, on the other word, we know when to stop the pushing  8-)  8-)

Hey Bogdan, I do share the same agreement on your comment.  Like I said early, without seeing the real dog in actual work, one is having difficulties to read the dog well!

Not trying to argue and to win over the debate.  Let just put it this way ... u have your point, which I agreed!  Now, based on individual dog in this particular video, I believe ... Wisky handle the training quite well  ;)  ;)

Point in case is, we have different views on this or that and there is probably no common line for all of us, different goals require different approaches and training types.
Thank you for you patience in going through posts and replies - especially since you are so busy these days!!
