Eu abia astept sa-l vad pe un an, cand trebuie sa fie ceva mai "asezat". Pe fizic cred ca va fi un tanc, de asta sunt aproape sigur (spun aproape pt ca la caini apar schimbari cand nu te-astepti, dar Happy a avut o crestere constanta, atat in inaltime cat si in 'volum' si sper sa ramana asa

au crescut si sunt plini de energie, "showul" incepe dimineata devreme si vor ca musai sa ma "anunte" si pe mine :lol: se bat mai tot timpul, mai ales femultza de care va mai spuneam, Draga, cum a botezat-o Leo, mai tot timpul e "calare" pe unul din frati si intamplarea face ca cel mai des se incaiera cu Dino, cel mai masiv din tot cuibul.

one of the males is not that interested in the materials unless you agitate stuff for him to see / hear, then he shows good drive. The females are very energetic, three of which also put up good fights. Two of them are very much alike as far as looks (the ones I named Draga and Dita).For now, all the testing is done on my property alone, they can't be taken outside until the have their vaccinations done. So that means making loud noises and moving shapes around.

we will see at least 4 of them again, but the others.. time will tell... truth is many of the owners do not have the time for that, for example, I pictured / filmed Nor and other myself, here in Constanta. Rocky's owner is really busy, can hardly catch some free time.

The males:
Dino - biggest in the litter, the one you see growling at the others when they eat. He dominates all the others, was a quiet pup initially but he's becoming "louder" recently.
Datko, not as big as them other 2 males, but with good drive and particularly fight drive. Barks at the item you move in front of him.
3d male - at first was very elusive but has become more "outgoing" recently and has loads of prey drive, barks at the item you move in front of him.
The females - they are more or less the same, with 2 outstanding differences - the little female that will return to the military unit where her sire is, has immense food drive and has more black than tan. Draga is the one with huge fight in her, when they all bite the rag, at some point she lets go of it and attacks any of her litter mates.
Now.. of course this is just for now, there is time for transformation... the 3rd male changed a lot as far as temperament and Dita was the smallest in size at first, but is as big as the other females now.
They are all big and heavy, with Dino being the "tank" in the bunch.
I will provide more adequate info when I start taking them outside.

temperament - initial un mascul era ceva mai retras dar in ultima vreme si-a "revenit" si, de fapt, are cel mai mult drive din masculi, latra la obiectul care il agit in fatza lui, daca nu il poate atinge. Draga continua sa fie batausa si, desi initial arata drive bun pe jocul cu carpa, la un momentdat lasa carpa si isi ataca un frate sau o sora. Este un fel de Happy al cuibului.
Lucrurile se pot schimba in timp, e inca devreme sa spun lucruri mari, nu pot decat sa fiu optimist.
De mancat toti sunt "beton", mananca de rup!

I think i will separate them when they eat because although they have different bowls, they still fight almost every night. recently Draga also started to show some aggression when eating, like her two brothers. a short video to show the drive of the pups, I will get a better one when I have someone to help me, as I need to focus on each individual pup to be able to emphasize their qualities. I am particularly thinking of Draga when I say that, as she both growls and clamps her teeth when chasing the moving item. Both females excel in drive, as you will see in this video. Also you can see how well Axa performs on command.
I brought the volume higher where i call the pups by name.

Dino ramane cel mai cel si nu rateaza nici o oportunitate sa-si manifeste suprematia. Voi face o filmare cand se imbunatateste vremea sa vedeti cum indiferent de circumstante (joc cu carpa, mancare etc..) el cauta sa domine si imparte "pumni" in stanga si dreapta. Draga ramane cea care ii raspunde cu aceeasi intensitate, daca pot spune asa, ieri s-au batut aproape 20 de secunde, adica pana i-am despartit eu (de obicei se bat scurt si unul din ei renunta). Si Happy era bataus cand era mic dar el o facea in spirit de joaca.. Dino asta mic e pus pe scandal serios, daca ma asez jos vine si se aseaza si el langa mine si sta sa il mangai iar daca se mai apropie unul din fratiori de mine, isi arata coltii si maraie iar daca e vb de Datko, maraitul e ceva mai intens. E interesant sa observ toate aspectele astea.. iar Dino CATEGORIC manifesta temperamentul pe care eu personal l-as cauta intr-un cg - puternic pe fizic, dominant ca temperament, cu spirit de lupta notabil.
the little ones had some nasty fights lately..
Dino is still the boss around, with each potential opportunity he displays his dominant spirit and makes sure the other pups respect him. Draga remains the only one who responds with intensity, yesterday they fought for quite some time and I had to intervene and separate them. If I sit down, Diono comes and sits by my side and he growls at any of his litter mates who want to also sit by me. His growl gets more intense if it is Datko that wants to also sit near me. it is really interesting to notice all these aspects.
Dino definitely shows the temperament I would be looking for in a GS dog - powerful build, dominant spirit and notable fight instinct.

Axa ca de obicei execta comenzile mele militareste.
this morning I took the camcorder when I went outside to the pups, the muddy weather has somewhat disappeared and I thought i should make another video. So in this clip, you can see exactly what I was saying not too long ago, about Dino dominating the others. I gave them a little rag, Dino takes it and "keeps" it as its own; then 2 pups come to play with my leg / shoe - Dino comes to chase them away and eventually takes on Datko. Datko only fight back hard if and when there is something to fight over, otherwise he pulls back. Needless to say I didn't let them keep fighting, but broke them apart.
Axa obeys my commands in a military fashion, as always.

Schimbarile astea in comportament erau de asteptat in mod natural, cu inaintarea in varsta.
I missed the chance to get the pups on video / sound as they bark together with their mom at the gate / fence.. recently they have started to do that, tonight for example someone was doing something loud just outside and Axa usually barks when there are loud noises outside and the pups have started to do the same. Although they are actually thinking / barking as guardians, they sound really "sweet". I'll try and not miss that net time they go for it.
These behavior changes were to be expected, as they grow older.

Tomorrow if the weather's fine I'll get some videos done so you can see them again. In short, they have grown bigger as expected, ears not up yet, or maybe partially. Dino is still the meanest and biggest and you can feel the weight when hold him up, thick legs, people stare at his front legs when we go out for walks. Dino again - still aggressive especially when it comes to food or an item he gets hold of. I am tempted to believe he will be the "craziest", with Draga being the more serious and intense one. Datko still keeps somewhat more elusive, shows his "color" when provoked. Avoids fighting his brother but is not afraid of him.

I don't think you need worry about the males not being serious. lol They certainly have the genetics to be, and it would surprise me if at 2 years old (if that old) they are not showing good signs of being so.

yes Datko is the most handsome one, he will grow big and will have a very nice head, Dino seems to have a somewhat narrower muzzle but the rest of him is just big, his front legs are insane

oh yesss.. Datkolooks VERY good, I will get some pictures in daylight. His head and bust are very robust. Dino stands out because of his thick front legs.
Correct me if I am wrong ... I thought for those pup that would have potential to grow BIG, their ears tend to stand up late / slow? :think:
well.. they had them almost up at some point, than lowered them again, then back up and so on... I am hoping they will have them up before going to their new homes..

I will get that done.
Dino is very, very dominant, he even drinks water by himself, the other pups wait for him to drink for as long as he wants and only after he is done, they go for it themselves :grin:
Tonight i was petting him and Datko came by and Dino immediately growled at him and wanted to go for a fight (i held him) but Datko responded accordingly. I am tempted to believe Datko will not have Dino's prey, but more defense.. we will have to wait and see..

Amandoi vor arata bine, Datko are un fizic ceva mai armonios, Dino are un aspect mai dur. Dar asa cum stiti, aspectul se mai schimba o data in momentul in care au urechile ridicate. In plus, putem aprecia cainii astia abia cand au 2 ani si au mai multa masa musculara, respectiv cap mai puternic - exact cum spuneai despre Drago, Roger.

I dont believe its due to rules /regulations or trainers not willing to challenge, as some strong trainers i have seen work in the late 80's early 90's some BIG old school Rotties who were 70kg plus atleast. In regards to smaller medium sized dogs, i guess it was due to the fact that the studs that were pre potent producers, just happened to be athletic medium sized dogs.Read :)
Love the first pic of Fax, he also does have that cool relaxed expression about him.. 42 kg is big at 65cm and still can get plenty speed especially if its mostly muscle.. I personally wouldnt mind if Casso has some extra fat on muscle, and believe he would be close to 50kg at maturity. Even though he has this 'raging bull' weight he still would have the mentality of a 'greyhound' and now thats like a locomotive train hitting you.Good on u!
I do agreed with you that medium size dogs tend to be the more defensive To me, this is merely due to their medium body size, they gotta work harder to "fight-back" in-order to secure a position!Cheers!

well now, I trust these images and video will convince Leo that Dino is one pup not underestimate ;)
I gave a ball to the pups and as usually Dino had control of the "game" but also this is how I managed to get images from different angles too, so you can see Dino's build (believe, he has a bull-like structure)

I am soooooooo looking forward to seeing Dino worked in protection (AFTER he is at least 12 months of age :lol:). Watching the way he behaves I am tempted to believe he will do an awesome working dog. Datko va arata ceva mai multa aparare dar ma pot insela.. poate el deja are mai multa prada in el dar o tine in el din cauza lui Dino. Adica, si apa cand vor sa bea, il asteapta toti pe Dino sa bea mai intai apoi de duc si ei la vas sa bea. Voi face o filmare sa vedeti ce drive au, cand e Dux pe la mine, sa ma ajute cu filmarea. Dino de regula nu arata asa multa prada ca Datko sau Draga, dar in ultima vreme a facut-o doar pt ca era disperat sa fie el "sef", este foarte posesiv, asa cum se poate evdea in clip.
stau si ma gandesc, ce placere este sa ai catei in curte si sa le observi personalitatile diferite, este intr-adevar o placere sa cresti catei / caini, atunci cand stii exact ce vrei..

Datko has been more of a quiet dog since "day 1", he shows very good defense when he is attacked by Dino, but otherwise he stays pretty calm and minds his own business.

I finally figured out where Datko was ....at least from 50 seconds he was standing up on you, at 55 seconds he was exiting to the right, and at 1 minute he entered again from the right. lolI'm impressed! :yes:

Am the same guys.Dino has a more "round" shape of the head, he will have his father's head shape when he is older, at least that's what I believe at this point. Datko has more square'ish shapes.. not sure where he takes that from though... neither Axa or the sire have square like shapes.. well, mayve Axa, a little bit...

Dux would normally be there to help but he is very, very busy. He's with the dogs in the morning, goes to work (border police) during the day and at the end of the day he is back with the dogs. Axa wouldn't let anyone else to come inside and feed her.

If I get my chance to visit I will get my HDV camcorder and get some nice footage of the dog. Just to remind you - Figo is Sony's litter mate.

That would be great, he looks like he loves a bit of close up action also...I think Dux has a video somewhere of Figo doing a bit of "in your face action", i will try and get it from him. Figo is already huge, although still young. Sony is medium sized.. Also, Sony is a bit more of a friendly/social dog.

true.. time is indeed, a funny thing and true, when you're into dog breeding, you have no choice but to allow time to confirm things to you, or the opposite. Either that, and simply turn commercial and sell pups like most "vom "x"" or "z "y" kennels do.

I wish in the coming year of 2012 ... both would continue to produce that would suit individual "needs" and to continue restoring the REAL GSD from the past!
While, more and more experiences dog keepers from round the world would step in to provide their first hand experience in breeding / raising / training and so on ... making the Zimbris's forum an ONE STOP for real dog!

Now of course, the world will not move around this forum, but at least we will try and make a change.

Wow... thank you Leo, I for one, am humbled by such words.. thank you for that and of course, I am glad we share the same thoughts when it comes to dogs, especially in days when all people want to do is sell their stock and the actual dog breeds are going down.notworthy
